Bishop Atwood serves as the Ambassador for the GAFCON Primates Council.

Bishop Atwood serves as General Secretary of the Ekklesia Society: http://www.ekk.org 

Ekklesia was established in 1996 as a result of the drift of the western Anglican churches from Biblical faith. In May of 2000, a group of Primates (leading Archbishops in the Anglican Communion around the world) invited Ekklesia to re-organize under their authority and called then-Rev. Canon Dr. Bill Atwood to come serve as General Secretary. 

Bishop Atwood also is Suffragan Bishop for International Affairs in the Diocese of All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi (http://www.ackenya.org/dioceses/allsaints.html) under The Most Rev. Dr. Eliud Wabukala, Bishop of the Diocese and Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya (http://www.ackenya.org/index.html). More Archbishops participated in Bishop Atwood's 2007 consecration service than in any other in Anglican history.
