I'm New tell me more

Welcome to the International Diocese!

A Diocese is a network of people in congregations who are linked together for worship, fellowship, mission, and ministry. We are part of the Anglican Church in North America, which is a network of hundreds of Anglican congregations that share a common commitment to Biblical authority and to living out the Christian faith as the Church has understood it for two thousand years.

Of course we gather to worship God, sing, pray, and serve, but the heart of our common life is each person's relationship with Jesus Christ, and a passion to share Him with the rest of the world.

At one time or another, everyone comes across a problem or a question that is bigger than he or she is. It could be painful circumstances, illness, broken relationships, or a terrible sense of emptiness inside. Whatever the question or problem, there is good news. Jesus Christ not only lived on the earth two thousand years ago, but after He was killed, He rose from the grave and is still alive today. He has promised that He cares about you and He cares about the questions you have and the burdens you have. He has promised to change the life of any person who is willing to put Him in charge of their life.

There are many things that can and will happen in the life of a person who begins to follow Jesus, but here are some first steps to get started. It is as simple as A, B, C, D.
A-There is something to Admit
Admit that you have a problem, a question, or a burden. The people who are the least able to come into abundant life are the ones who won't admit that there is anything missing.
B-There is something to Believe
Believe that Jesus Christ is both God and Man and that He cares about you and your situation.
C-There is something to Confess
A "confession" can be admitting things that you have done wrong. It can also be a positive statement. The most important confession is that "Jesus Christ is Lord of all."
D-There is something to Do

Make a commitment to follow Jesus Christ in the fellowship of the Church. There you can learn about Him from others who follow Jesus. You can bring your gifts and talents and find significance for your life and join in living in and extending the Kingdom of God to other people and receive many wonderful things in your life.

This is not an event, but a journey. The message above is not about everything you can or should do, but it describes how you can get started in a relationship with God. We'd love to hear from you. You can get in touch with someone at the International Diocese at:  TellMeMore@iDio.net
